Last week the big topic of the week was the mulch hoax. This kept me busy researching and writing articles. The weather though in this area was quite decent, so I did manage to get some time in the garden. In the poll last week we had several people who were aiming to do many hours of gardening this week. I did more than I thought.

My main task is to get the leaves off the gardens. Rather than rake everything in the fall, I leave some on the gardens over the winter. Each spring it is a delight to uncover the emerging bulbs and perennials who are pushing their way into the new growing season.

I still have several beds to go, but it is starting to look like the new season is going to be delightful!
