Gardening Conference

I went to a gardening conference this past weekend and came back full of infomation. Being able to 'talk the same language' as others is terrific!

Gardeners are a sharing bunch. This goes double for those who attended the Garden Writers Association annual meeting this past weekend. We were wined and dined with horticultural experts; saw wonderful gardens and were introduced to many new plants that are coming onto the market in the next few months. Look for some of those ideas about plants and new tools to be introduced to you in the Suite articles as well.

The gardens that we viewed were a mixture of small, private gardens to large palacial estates (Longwood Gardens). Some were simple gardens others were elaborate; some had garden sculpture and another had a little knot garden. Almost every garden had a cat as well. Cats seem to go so well in gardens.

So if you get to go to a conference, be it a plant lovers weekend, or a three hour garden tour to benefit the local church, take advantage of them to see beautiful gardens and meet fellow enthusiastic gardeners.
